Invitation to the Annual General Meeting
Friends of the Finnish Expatriate Parliament invites its members to the annual general meeting.
Time: January 18, 2026 at 4:00 PM Finnish time
Place: Zoom platform
The following matters will be discussed at the association’s annual meeting:
- Opening of the meeting
- Election of chairman, secretary, two minute scrutineers and, if necessary, two voting tellers
- Declaration of legality and quorum
- Confirmation of agenda
- Presentation of the financial statements, annual report and the auditor’s statement
- Acceptance of the financial statements and the discharge from liability of the board of directors and other accountable persons
- Approval the action plan and budget
- Confirming the joining and membership fees
- Election of the chairman, other board members and any deputy members
- Election of one operation scrutineer and a deputy scrutineer
- Closing the meeting
If an individual or corporate member of the association wishes to have any matters discussed at the annual meeting, they must notify the association’s board of directors in writing by the end of December 2025.

The Board
About us
Friends of the Finnish Expatriate Parliament were established on August 21, 2024. The purpose of the association is to promote and to support the Finnish Expatriate Parliament, founded in 1997, in all its forms, to facilitate communication with the Finnish government and to enhance the status of Finnish expatriates in Finland. The association organizes plenary sessions of the Finnish Expatriate Parliament, either physically or virtually, and maintains contact information on Finnish expatriates and associations.
To fulfill its purpose, the association:
- May maintain the association’s electronic communication channels, such as a website.
- May publish the association’s announcements and other communications through various channels.
- Advises and guides its members.
- Participates in public discussions on related topics.
- Maintains a performance group composed of its members.
- May make proposals, initiatives, and reports, as well as provide statements to other organizations and authorities.
- Cooperates with authorities, organizations, companies, and individuals.
